I found an interseting web site today.

http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp

Can someone look at this and tell me if part number 25 of the clutch diagram of an 01 Roadstar is the preasure plate spring that I would replace. I talked to one dealership that told me Ymaha make stiffer replacement parts & another told me that they don't.

You can use the spring from a warrior which is a stiffer spring but again it's a single spring plate vs the barnett which has 6 springs and a better pressure plate. If I were you do it right the first time buy the barnett pressure plate & spring kit and you will never have to worry about it. Guys here will tell you that used the warrior spring but I have also had guys experiance problems well down the road even with that spring. I did replace my disks & pressure plate with the barnetts and believe me when I tell you that you will notice a major difference in the torque to the rear wheel when you nail your throttle.
