My dad is in this position. He had an '04 and traded it and some cash for an '09. He has the roadhouse dualies from the '04 and wants to stick them on his new bike but they have not bung. I did some looking around as far as welding bungs on and was told that welding onto chrome will cause discoloration and possibly rusting.

If he goes with a powercommander, is it pretty easy to use? For instance if there is not a map that fits his set up is it hard to set? Hes not much for technology.

As much as he changes parts I think welding bungs on pipes may get pricey for him plus as I read it you can remap your own bike instead of paying to have it done.
