I listened to a new acquaintence's 02 Midnight yesterday, and lo, the thing maketh the very same bird noise as Silverado! At best, this means it's more or less normal; at worst, it means that we may both be vapourized. Especially fun if we are riding together when it happens, I reckon. Cooincidentally, he has put a Roadhouse Classic on his, which I have been looking at as the number one choice to drown out the whistling.

I guess I'll relax about the sounds a bit. It's kind of like seeing angels. If you're the only person you know who see them, you get paranoid, but if someone else you know sees them too, then you start to accept that maybe you're OK. Besides, it's more difficult to have two people committed than one.

Next thing I'm searching out is a loud horn. My plan is to relocate the fuel pump and use that existing cover for a horn box. Two air horns could stick out the front notches, or I think a TM 80 Magnum STEBEL will fit in there, and maybe a second one under the tank somewhere. I have two very loud Ducati horns on my '99 Thunderbird Sport (which is for sale). I think loud horns are very important on bikes, especially bikes that take lots of time to stop, and I find the stock one sounds nice, but it's too quiet.

I'm having trouble locating a Canadian distributor for STEBEL. Any ideas?
