Harley lowers vibration solved! 3 Years ago
Hey all....I've been reading and posting a bit lately about the vibration I encountered after I installed the Harley chrome lowers. Got it solved and wanted to pass my fix on. Not sure if will help others, but this was the problem with my setup.

First off, I ended up mounting the lowers directly with no rubber/nylon washers. Basically bolted them directly to the mounting points using a 3/4" chrome spacer on the top mount.

When wiggling things around to see how much play they had, I noticed the left side lower was hitting something. Ended up not being the lower actually hitting, but the bar that the bottom mount is on was hitting my light bar. I put a bit of duct tape between the 2 bars and this stopped all vibration. This was only a problem on the left side as the right side had a little more space between the 2 bars.

Rode a bit Sunday and all I can say is WOW! No vibration at all and I could even light a cigarette going 70MPH on the highway if I felt inclined to do so. Not that I did!

Thanks to everyone for their help in previous threads on getting this mod completed for me. I'm leaving on a 4K mile trip next weekend and am glad I got this working.

Regards....greeny
