It is important for your own safety and that of your loved ones that you understand and use the proper strength fastener

And while we are on the subject...
M10x1.25 is the standard thread pitch used by Japanese car and motorcycle manufacturers
M10x1.50 is the standard used by European and American

The only reason they are hard to find is because most suppliers arent with it yet
especially the big ones...

We are used to 1/4-20 and 5/16-18 SAE descriptions which give us threads per inch
so 5/16-24 is fine thread
Metric pitch is the distance from the top of one thread to the top of another in mm that is why M10x1.25 is finer than M10x1.50

I usually get my buddy to get ahold of &quot;aircraft grade' fasteners. These are so tough! If he can get the right size and thread for me, that's what I go with to build projects that need good strength.
