Re:Red turn signal bulb 5 Years, 2 Months ago
the proper kit for your bike would be the 4612 plug and play and you should not need load equalizer unless you changed to LEDS
if you installed the 4613 or the 4710 you might have issues ..which kit did you install???

Yes the chrome bulbs were kinda pink and dull and not a bright red....

The amber stock ones were way brighter...
custom dynamics dont appear to have a red 7507

I am not going to install the controller 4612 unless I can come up with a bulb that is brighter and the kuryakyn one should be

When they advertise the chrome top bulb as bein 40% brighter than full chrome then how is it compared to the non chrome...duh.. shoulda had some lights go on in my head especialy since Musky was no where around when I needed him

Re:Red turn signal bulb 5 Years, 2 Months ago
Happy Friday!
I'm looking at the shipping invoice and instuction sheet and the part # I installed was the 4612. Before installing the load equalizer (Kury part #4810) the turn signals blinked very sporadically; sometimes normal, sometimes very slow and sometimes very fast. And that was with the load equalizer installed that came with the kit. So yes, I've got two load equalizers installed, which the instruction sheet says may be possible. And no, I'm not running LED bulbs, however I'd like to but haven't found them with the 7507 base. As for the bulbs, according to the invoice from Custom Dynamics, they are Silver Vision Red.
Getting back to the load equalizer issue for a second; If anyone has any input on the matter as to whether or not this is normal, I'd like to hear from you. The bike is stock (electically) but is a Silverado model with a lightbar, so would that make a difference?

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Aaron

Doesnt make sense

Something is not right......???

If you are using the same bulb a stock albeit red the damn controller should not need ANY load equalizer ie dont need the one that came with the kit... or it is designed wrong...

What did she act like without any load equalizer????

Because you havent changed anything that the kit should not be able to handle

Im confused???

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2007/03/16 19:12

Just cuz it's a brand new part doesn't mean it isn't a busted brand new part.

Re:Red turn signal bulb 5 Years, 2 Months ago
Good Morning!
I've contacted Kuryakyn regarding the run-turn-brake controller issue and the fact that I needed two load equalizers to make it work. Am anxiously awaiting their reply. Will keep everyone posted regarding the outcome.

Re:Red turn signal bulb 5 Years, 2 Months ago
Same as with it installed. I tried it without the load equalizer first, then with it installed. Even switched it between the two pig-tails to see if it made a difference which one it was plugged into; no difference.

Re:Red turn signal bulb 5 Years, 2 Months ago
But maybe some bikes just need the equalizer and some dont???

How then does it work???

The signal lights and brake make the bulb brighter than when running???

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2007/03/17 13:31

Re:Red turn signal bulb 5 Years, 2 Months ago
All I know is that the lights (brake and turn signals) are working properly since the second load equalizer was installed. And since the instruction sheet said that that may be neccessary, I didn't second guess it. Whether there's a difference with my bike or the run-turn-brake controller, I don't know. That's why I'm curious to see what Kuryakyn has to say.

Re:Red turn signal bulb 5 Years, 2 Months ago
Thats all that is important...
Now when you say running properly

Does the bulb... on both the brake and signal go brighter... than when on running????

Thanks in advance

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2007/03/17 18:04
