Hey ironman,
I just replaced my rear tire with a German mane Metzler. Got 8500 miles from the Brazilian Metz they just took off. I like to lean and don't plan on running anything else.
What is the "QC" issue you are referring to ? Quality control ?

I had Metzler (Brazilian made) front and back. Man those tires are sweet when it comes to handling but rear mileage was 8000 and was worn completely out. Replaced rear with a 160 Dunlop and it handles just the same to me as when the Mets were new. Now I dont know how long the Dunlop will last but the price, as ridiculous as bike tire prices are was a lot better for the Dunlop.

I replaced my tires after picking up a 4" screw in the rear. Went with the Metzlers and really like them, have had no issues with them, they run good and feel fine. Got about 1500 miles on them at the moment.

Actually, it seems everyone on the Clinic loves the ME880's but over on the VentureRiders forum they hate them. It seems the little extra weight must cause delamination issues with rear tires, mainly the Brazilian made ones. They have had a lot of tires loosing chunks.
