Re:How to Lower. Pro-Con? 2 Years, 7 Months ago
kk, So Im lowering my bike, I currently have a truck on air suspension, So I have a real good grasp of air suspension and its workings, What I dont have a good grasp on, Is my bike and aftermarket parts....

I would love to do the air ride setup on my bike, And the money is not an issue. I was thinking of a couple "custom" ways to do it, As I have the parts and the tools available to do it, But the one thing, I dont for the life of me get on the bike is, What do you all do about an air tank?

Do air tanks get used on bikes?
What about compressors? Do they get used on a bike?

Anyone who could shoot me a line in the proper direction of a parts site, Or a well written thread, Would be concidered my RSC god

Thankss!

Princess:

No air tank would be required on the bike. The air suspension setup consists of the following parts:

1. Compressor (normally fits in front of the battery) and puts just about 120LBS into the system.
2. Solenoid to control the position.
3. Air Shock (replaces the stock shock) and holds pressure as a reservior.
4. OPTIONAL. 90/120LB Air pressure sensor tied to the tail lights. When the key is turned, you can bring it up to ride-height automatically. $20.00 on Ebay.
5. OPTIONAL. 4-CH remote control. Nothing funnier than screwing with people from the other side of the parking lot... $20.00 on Ebay.

When it's all the way down, I can just get two fingers under the bike...

Got the Tricky unit installed last night. About 2.5 hours, and fairly simple to install. I was surprised. Here are a few pics.

I did the flip and 2 inch front lower with progressive. Like they said it handles way better don't scrape to often but my floorboard are modified. I recently acquired a trick air why hard to get on jack need height in certain areas and to see if it rides like glass. Also think trailer or atleast when packed I can cantilever weight forward. I loaded the bike for a trip and the front was lifting LOL very fun at 70.
