Very unusual to have a oil smoker. When you do oil changes, you should not put in more that 4 qt. The smoke you see may be carbon due to an overly rich mix. This bike is no different than a V8 ... minus 6 cylinders ... so the principles that apply to an push rod auto engine apply here. Doc

dvblair: Has anyone cut off the heel portion of the shifter? I never use it and would like to have the extra room. I would like to remove it but it looks like you would need a spacer on the shaft and I'm not sure ...
