Thanks for the info Rich. Did you see where N0THD mounted his gauge? Pretty cool plus it helps hide the switch. Although I don't believe you mounted your switch. A pic of his is shown earlier in this thread.

Another question for you Rich. Did you have to tighten your belt any? Mine's lowered right now using longer links and I get a squeal now and then. I'm guessing with the Tricky allowing for an even lower ride, I'll be tightening up my belt a little.

Thanks....greeny

Greeny:

No, I must have missed NOTHD's gauge setup. I'll have to hunt for it.

In regards to the belt, you do have to run a bit tighter if you drive it 1/2 way down or more. The belt loosens as it's lowered and may squeal a little on downshifts. Not too tight at full-up position, but a little tighter than normal and you should be ok at almost any height.

Thanks Rich....

New question for ya. Did you put an inline fuse into your wiring? I installed my compressor yesterday and it hit me that it might be a good idea. Didn't have one at the house so I'll have to add that later. I was a little concerned that the 3-way switch didn't appear to be waterproof and didn't want a fire under my backside next time I rode in the rain.

Maybe Rob could offer some input into this as well? Is that 3-way switch waterproof at all? I put mine about where N0THD put his....left side center panel.

Compressor's pumping just fine on mine....just pumping nowhere as I don't have the shock on yet. Waiting on Tricky to redo my collar.

Funny Vandelay story by the way....

Greeny:

An in-line fuse is a good idea. I'm re-doing a lot of the wiring this Winter. It's already on my list...

I'm running off the remote @ 20AMP+-. So, if it cooks, the remote would go before the compressor (a lot cheaper).

I think the compressor is only rated at 7 amps, so a 10 amp fuse should suffice.

A couple of problems it looses air in less than 5 min. I lowered my front two inches it seems to be a problem I did tell you that when I ordered. The tire is not not rubbing but fender on belt guard. Wire I'll be calling tech support tomorrow remote one won't function. Rob no offense but you guys need to have someone do a complete direction for your different options. Diagrams help but not when they are not complete.

I'm not upset just making constructive view points.

You mean right now you can't "Get em up! SLAM EM!" ?

Good thing it wasn't a bomb you were trying to defuse with those directions.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but what I meant wasn't what you read. Those kinda directions?

They have outstanding customer service and they will be right with you. Perhaps you have a defective electrical component.

Makcap ...

...for your loosing air problem ... It's most likely one of the connectors. When I did mine I noticed one hose hung up a bit when I was inserting it in the fitting and I had to force it to bottom it out. Try pushing the hose real hard into the fitting.

You can find the one that leaks by using Leak Detector or just make up some dishwasher soap + water.

Makcap called us on the phone, we walked him through a soapy water test and it turned out to be a faulty connection to a gage (and not one of out gages I might add! ). His shock is functioning fine.

He's saying that his solenoid isn't operating from the switch, we're going to take it for granted that he did wire it correctly. So we're sending him a new switch, if this doesn't work I'd like to see some pics of his wiring...

Another problem that he encountered is the fender touching the belt gaurd. He doesn't have a full stock set up back there. He had flipped and ground his dog bones previously as well. We're waiting to hear back from him, because we can customize the kit several ways (ask Doc). More than likely once he gets back to us we'll have to sell him a tuning spacer to effectivly lengthen the shock.

As for the directions, maybe some of you other guys can give me some very specific feedback. We send the written directions and if you get a remote or a resevoir, we'll send you wiring diagrams. So what more specifically are you guys looking for? We've never had anyone really complain about the directions - but - we typically sell to professional dealers and builders. And here's the thing we have tech support tues-fri, 9-5, central time, please feel free to utilize that. But is there something specifically that would help the retail "do it yourself" crowd?

And Greeny, no it's not water proof, but as long as your not right next to it peeing on the switch or dumping out a bucket of water right on it!
and no, no one's fanny has caught fire yet!
