You need to make sure that you use the right bolts also!!!!! I ended up using the standard bolts and didn't realize that there were just a smidge too long and went on a ride with my wife and lost some side wall of my back tire left and right!!!! And it was a ride to a show! lucky us my father in law has some extra washers in his saddle bags of his Road King to help me out. Sounds dumb, but they didn't look too long with her sitting on it. Didn't think about the turns though.

DON1989: I bought me a 2008 road star silverado 1700 on new years day road it home about 18 miles when it was about 35 outside and still loved it!!! also pretty excited about finding this site
