musky

I understand now ...it is a good idea.. however I like red for all functions..

looks like a lot of splicing of wires..and the visibility of the amber signal bulb is reduced a little from the sides because of the donut???

In fact I cut out aluminum foil discs and silicone adhesived them to the inside of the signal light housing to increase the reflectivity although most of it is done thru the lense...

It is another way of tackling the "make better use of those signal lights"

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2007/04/06 22:55

Actually, there really isn't any loss of visibility on the amber lights, Pop, because like Musky said the amber bulb is centered in the LED ring. And the LEDs on the ring are clear and only appear red when they light up, so the only thing you really see through the clear lenses is a little bit of the silicone that's used to adhere the LED rings to the clear lenses.

A bit of splicing, yes...but they supply all required taps and other install goodies. It really is easy and very effective.

I shot a video running everything through the paces, showing all combinations of run/brake/turn, and I'll post a link to it as soon as I can downsize it adequately.

Oh, and I forgot...yes, Musky, that's exactly the one I got.

Post edited by: Roadkill1962, at: 2007/04/07 00:17
