Why would you want to go back to that dealer .... if they can't change the oil properly do you really want them working on your bike?

I would suggest you change the oil yourself. Think of it as getting to know your bike better.

I have an '08 and I agree with Doc. drain both the crankcase and oil tank. Put back only four quarts if you remove and drain the oil filter, otherwise about 3.5 quarts ought to do it. I have used Mobil1 V-Twin but to each his own. If you haven't removed or disabled the AIS that will fix your backfire problems. Should be good to go. Vibration? Pretty normal, especially at idle. Enjoy! I love mine!

I put 4.25 qts in my bike on a oil and filter change just like they say to do and have no problems, I did when the crankcase hose went to the air cleaner just like most, oil out of the air cleaner, I'm sorry but again do you see any oil on that filter and I have had it on for over a year
