BAK arrived, installed, then disaster 5 Years, 1 Month ago
I insatlled by BAK (and jets) last night. All was well, the start up was great this morning. On my way to work I lost all power, no siganl, no speedo, no nothing! As I he pulled up to show my badge, the bike stalled. I managed to get a jump but it was clear the bike was running off the battery and not the alternator. I dropped it off at the stealership (no option). Very, very strange. Comments?

If you unplugged the plugs under the tank in front you might not have got them back together all the way or pushed a pin out. Pinched a wire.

Even if you plugged them back, I have always found one of the two connectors an absolute bitch to pull apart - may have pulled a wire out of the connector.

I always worry about getting everything back together correctly. I do however now have a nice collection of parts that obviously were not needed in the first place.

Just for future reference. You don't need to uplug them. Lay a towell over your bars and lay the dash with wires connected on the bars.

Good point - I am a big fan of putting towels over parts anytime I work on the bike - one tool slip = 1 scratch.

Chances are that you have a pinched wire....my buddy had the same problem when he took his fenders to get them painted and when he put it back together, we went for a ride and he lost all his blinkers, and all his dash displays....come to find out he had a pinched wire which kept blowing his 15 amp fuse. good luck
