Thanks for the lively discussion, I definitely learned something...maybe next set I'll try the iridiums.

I just put a set of Champion 810's in my bike while I am waiting for my ngk iridiums to come in the mail(paid $6.85 compared to almost $11.00 locally), so I could get my bike to the dealer for the tranny recall since the weather is cold. A friend recommended the Champions so I tried them. They seemed to make a difference in the way the bike ran and I was somewhat impressed. Don't seem like too bad of a plug for the price. But I guess only time will tell how they hold up. I think I will put the iridium tipped plugs on the shelf for a little bit of time to see how these other plugs fare.

I ran the iridiums in my vstar 650 and they made a huge difference on how smooth the bike ran. I have not put them in my Road *, the dealer put new plugs in when I got it last month. I will be putting them in when I replace the plugs next time.
