I know there are a few products that can be used. But, I have yet to see any site showing use in a tubed tire, so that is my question, do they work just as well in a tubed tire.

Check out dynabead site I know I have read they will work in tubbed tires somewhere. I think if you do a search on dyna beads here there are a few threads about it also. From my limited knowledge on the subject as long as it isn't stick in there they work fine. Hope that gets you closer to the subject your looking for.

Yeah, it will work, finally found the right page with info. They do recommend a new tube to ensure there is no build-up of moisture or oils from the air compressors. They even mention it would work better in a tube since the surface would be smoother than the inside of the tire

After I put the "Beads" in, I aired up the tires with Nitrogen. Nitrogen is a dryer gas and also does not expand or contract as much as just air. It's used in Aircraft tires. Cost me $5 from my local tire guy to air them up, and I have not had to put air in the tires all summer. I check them now and again, and they are dead on! Best $5 ever spent on the bike.
