I've been searching on eBay for a fairing for my bike. i found a Harley fairing with all the cut outs for the radio and speakers. price is right i just have to buy radio and speakers which will still come out to be about 600 dollars cheaper then hoppe or anyone else. it comes with brackets for the road king, i was wondering can i take my brackets off my windshield and mount them on the new fairing. i read the thread for the fairing but that was for a bike with no windshield.

I don't see why you couldn't use the if you wanted to but some modification will still be needed. When you see how the inner fairing mounts to the HD fork you will see how to fit. Just mke sure you have the proper kickback angle on the inner fairing before drilling and attaching brackets. Also HD makes a glovebox insert for the radio hole that makes radio installation a piece of cake and it's only about $20.00 I also fabed some blank plates for the unused gauge holes.
