Popping in the carb on cold start 2 Years, 7 Months ago  
Hey guys whats up ok this morning I went out to start the roadie and I had a hell of a time getting it started. It turned over fine but wouldnt start, it just popped back threw the carb. that happened a few times then it finally started and ran ok. It was cold this morning and it hasn't been rode for about 2 weeks. Any Ideas?

2001 1600 carb jetted, hi compress pistons, dyna jet module, k&n air cleaner, 14000 miles

I think thats pretty normal. Mine does the same if it's been a while AND it's cold. Also wait for the fuel pump to recharge the system too before cranking. Did you have the choke on?

Yeah, make syre you hade it on full choke and not half. Last time mine did that, had to have the carb cleaned.

yea the choke was on full it started ok this morning so may just a fluke we'll see thanks anyway guys

if it's cold out I always give the throttle a couple twists to squirt a little gas in first. helps cold starts alot.
