Some guys like the Mobil 1 or Amsoil, & they are great oils, I've been using Shell Rotella T synthetic 5W-40 diesel oil in every motorcycle I've owned, including my '00 Roadie, for the last 7 years & love it. I chose it because it's the cheapest full synthetic oil you can buy, it works wonderfully in a non-catalyst motorcycle engine (better than car-oils), it comes in 1 gallon bottles & you can get it at any Wal-Mart or truck stop if you need to top-off while traveling.

Subject: starter problems
Papa Bear: with a new battery installed, i get all lights and electronics functioning when I push the starter button, but only a click. No starter rotation at all. Prognosis please? Papa Bear
