last summer after I got my bike ..i wnated the dealer to go thru it and fix, adjust, and replace anyhting that the bike might need......including and oil change..and he said the same thing about synthetic oil......and said Yamaha recomended Yamaha oil......as it would mess with the clutch but i hvae learned here that it may not be the case
