Thanks. and sometimes I can get anal about it. lol I like facts and figures, get the a/F right everything falls into place as far as max hp and tq. There is no right or wrong with tuning the carb, there's the spread you have in afr that you can play with, of course going way too lean is far more worse for the engine, you can go as lean as 15 without engine damage, but, be ready for a lot of heat too, and at that point, can you go rich enough to get max tq from there, or is performance going to be sacrificed for economy? The 42 was fun to play with, I like to tinker, what can I say. lol

on a side note, I know the air filter that comes with the 42 kit from patrick racing is good for letting in a bunch of air, found a substitute for it for under 100 bucks, just would have to fab brkts. K&N has a marine filter that would work 59-2860. bout 65 bucks shppd, West Marine has flat stainless steel 8" x 1", 20.bucks, cut in half, fab brkt. Can also use the RC-2000, the marine 1 is 1 inch wider though, lot more filter element.

Also suggest either Nemesis or Ben Herr manifold, even over self ported, I run the Nemesis, think there are still some around new, would have to check with Doug.

Steven,

I have a "sniffer" if you want to borrow it.

We would just need to find a place to meet as close to Santa Monica as you could get.

or Corona... I was passing there today. I stopped in Metric Thunder for a quick bit.
