OOPS,UPDATEJUST ,REMEBERED READING YOU SAID THOSE PLUGS LOOKED LIKE TERE WERE BURNING OK SO THEY WERE NOT TOO CLD AND FOULED.

Also,i have noticed a few times you stated your bike has 100k miles on it?

Am i understanding that correctly and if so has the motor & or anything else like trans or clutch on your bike ever been appart for repair in all those 100k miles?

Thats sure a lot of miles to get out of an air cooled V-twin motor without at least a top ewnd rbld along the way.

yep, you read it right, I'm at 107k miles, tranny recall at 47k. Still stock belt, stock clutch plates with a mod to the clutch spring plate, using a Virago1100 plate piggy back on stock spring plate due to install of 42hsr carb that gave me a nice boost in power and caused slippage in all gears, this mod came by 30yr wrench recommendation, at least 50k on this set-up and all is fine. Replaced iridium plugs with autolite 4164 yesterday morn and vibrations are gone, drove me nuts for the past month, so bad that hands would get numb, and my bike never did that. All started a few weeks after I put the iridium plugs in, did a filter change, and thats when I noticed the vibes, was a slightly smaller filter than what I had, so of course went back to my old filter after I cleaned it and vibes still there, then found my accelerator pump rod was frozen up in the rod guide, fixed that, vibes still there, then found my seating of carb in manifold was off kilter (my install fault) fixed that with new boot, vibes still there. Then thought about plugs, so checked to ensure they were in properly, check for fit of wires, all tight. vibes still there, replace plugs, vibes gone. And btw, there are a few roadies out there with over 200k and no rebuilds to them.
