Thanks Takehikes! I have been talking with marty the last couple of days and I've ordered one from him. I have to give it a try and if I don't like it I still have everything to change it back.

I wish I had seen this post sooner. I have a foot clutch and hand shift on my 2001 R* bobber. It is the only way to go. It makes the R* a REAL man's bike. I ran the clutch cable to the arm sticking up on what used to be the shifter and use the forward shift arm to depress the clutch. Then I put a shift rod right on the shaft coming out of the transmission. Simple. Nothing to buy.
If I could figure out how to post a picture, I'd put one on here.
I put the bike in neutral when I stopped for the first couple of weeks. After that I just stop with the clutch depressed and put my right foot down, no problem. Most people notice the hand shift but don't notice the foot clutch. Go figure.
I have to admit I have had a couple of OH SH*% moments, but only a couple.

You can also go with this option to eliminate the oh-sh-t factor: a bit pricey, but...............

My auto clutch will be here next week from EFM. I don't think it was all that pricey, cheaper than a Tricky Air Ride... I have spent a whole lot more money on chrome.

I wonder about that EFM auto clutch with a jockey shift? They indicate you should retain the clutch lever but you could put it on the shift handle and only use it in those rare occasions when needed. You could shift and take off without taking your left foot off the ground which is the big knock on jockeys.

I did get it on and I love it. I can't seem to get any pics to come up but then I'm not exactly a computer genius. It did take some getting used to but it is great!
