"Fast idle setting?" 4 Years, 9 Months ago
My Roadie idles way too slow when cold with the choke knob pushed in. (I don't use the choke anymore than absolutely necessary, it could lead to carboning when flooding.) After the bike is started, I push the knob in to the 1st detent out. Then it soon starts to sound "flooded" so I push the knob all the way in, but it idles WAY too slow for a good warmup.
On my old carbureted Chevy, the choke had a "fast idle" that the engine would run at 1500 rpm until you blipped the gas pedal after the electric choke warmed up and turned itself off.
My question is: Does the roadie have a "fast idle" setscrew? Or does it have just the "one size fits all" idle adjuster knob that you have to constantly screw with?
It would be nice if the bike would run as fast when cold as it does warmed up.
Any advice?
