Carb venting question 5 Years ago
Hey All! The BAK instructions say that the carb vent hose should be shortened and left exposed to the atmosphere. Why can't I just remove it all together and let the carb vent from the nipple that the hose was attached to?

I don't know. I have had mine running that way since I lost the hose .... about 2 years.

With the hose on you are less likely to get water into the carb.

That's exactly how I've done mine, didn't seem to hurt anything. You running a BAK now?

No...I was just peeking at their instructions to see how they hooked up compared to what I have because my filter came with an optional vent.
