Without knowing anything else about your carb setting it's a shot in the dark. But then again what can it hurt you can always change it back. You will probably be ok by moving it 1 notch.

JohnyRoyale, I went down the same road... taking advice to jet, then rejetting back to near stock (wish I had found this clinic sooner). My options were to start over and pay the dealer $240 labor plus parts to install a Barrons Jet Kit, or pay a dyno tune $100/hr to rejet with his equipment and mikuni jets. The dyno guy estimated 3hrs, but spent all day on it and billed 5.5hrs. Mostly because it took 2 trys at the main jet. Total cost was $580 which raised my blood pressure slightly, but shortly after a test ride, my pulse went back to normal. I'm still not convinced that the dealer would have made it behave.

Re:Poor fuel mileage 2 Years, 1 Month ago
Brought my bike to a dyno/tuning specialist this afternoon, and IMO it was the best 250 dollars I ever spent on the bike. Report shows 65.04 HP, 93.69 Torque, and Air Fuel Ratio between 13.75-14.00. Bruce (the owner) repeatly dyno'd and jetted till it was just right. I took the bike for a run afterwards and I was amazed. Its going to be a great summer now that I have this problem cured.

On edit-he did say he should have charged me $400 but didnt. He spent almost 3 hours on my bike.

Re:Poor fuel mileage 1 Year, 9 Months ago
Ok fellas sorry it took so long to get back on here, but the military is keeping me busy!! anyway i put raised my needle clip up one, reset my pilot screw to 3.5 turns out, and adjust my accelerator pump in a little bit decreasing the amout of fuel squirted and that got me up to about 36 mpg if im taking it easy on back roads. so i tested that for a while and decided to go up one more clip on the needle, and another half turn in on the accelorater pump screw. but it didnt change anything on the mpg's. any advice?
