Have to put my 2 cents in, I run the same as 2000roadstar. I have tried quite a few but this has worked the best for me.

Valvoline 20-50 synthetic. However, I did try Rotella T and really liked it. Gonna start using it in my trucks.

Mobil Red Cap 15W50. I have 3 more years of Red Cap but after that I'll need to find another inexpensive substitute (I refuse to use overpriced motorcycle oil).

Some of the reading I've done lately seems to indicate that you could use commercial grade auto oil in our bikes but I need to do more 'research'.
