Heat shield for leg? 2 Years ago  
Was wondering if any one here has made a heat shield for legs,'' the shield would go under the seat above motor like my friends Road king. Harley makes them for there bikes, any one here know of any company that make them for Roadie??? or if you have made one,I have lots of windshields, laying around I could cut up..' any help had a great day riding but right leg is half baked, ANY HELP.''' thanks

Is this something you guy would be intersted in buying. My buddy that has a machine shop says things are slow for him so he is going to start fabbing MC stuff. He is working on grab bars, tach mounts for the cheap $70 tach's, passange side grab bars, my design of lowers and any other custom things you guys can come up with. We will be using both my bikes to mock up and fit the stuff on. Let me know what you guys want and I will add it to my design list.

Curt I looked into this and their is not anything like this on the market for the star harleys is plastic and deflects the heat from the rear cyl. its about 1/8 thick and only extends about 3 or 4 inches but the harley riders says it works I think one could be made from ss and paint on the inside with a radiant paint to deflect the heat and mounted to the gas tank bolt the ss can be polised up for more shine lexsan can be molded pretty easy with heat gun also just a thought by the way happy retirment

Yes milespace Harley has the chrome ones as well as the lexsan. I will talk to my buddy soon and see if he can make both. Huskerbob I will let you guys know what he says and give you some idea of price too.
