I had my bike run the main dry and it did not restart when switched to reserve. Problem was a clogged jet in the carb.

You got a lot of opinions and I'll throw in mine. Unlikely but try opening the tank and see if you get a nice Whoosh sound. I say unlikey as you just filled up and you only ran it one mile. You never know though as the remaining air in the tank was minimal so it won't take much to build up a vaccuum.
Mine did this only one time, but I was almost out of gas so I initially thought I had simply ran out. Pulled over and tried a few things. Finally cracked open the gas cap and heard that Whoosh. Bike fired right up after that.
At least it's something to try.
Good luck and hope you get it figured out soon....greeny

Take a piece of fuel line and run it between the jugs straight from petcock to carb . If it goes, it's either pump or relay. Same thing happened to me, and I've been happily pumpless for the two+ years since that happened to me.

I keep an extra length of fuel line in my saddlebag just for that reason.

Like a Dumb A** ....... I'll ask !
What size is the fuel line ? I don't know w/o pulling the line off to figure it out ! I really want the extra piece of fuel line in my saddlebag for the unexpected emergency.
And the big question.....IS 6'' ENOUGH

You guys ROCK!!!! I'll tear into the problem tonight, but here's where I think I am right now. There's no WHOOSH when I remove the cap....tried that by the side of the road when she first quit running. The pump HAS been relocated under the right side cover. There's NO whir/buzz when I turn on the key, so either the relay is dead or the pump is dead. The gas IS ON (thanks Shamrock). I'll pull the fuel line off the pump and run it right to the carb and see what we end up with.
Anything else I should look out for, as I get into the job?
