Once it's warmed up, then you can do the PMS in/out routine to make sure it's still in the ballpark and then fine tune it based on how it runs. And my throttle response seems to be a little better as well. My bike seems to run a hell of alot stronger now....and I thought it ran strong before. Not to mention, it starts easier. Come to find out, when I installed the pms thumb screw, I didn't realize that I only had it set at about 2 1/2....so I payed close attention as to how many turns I have on it when I spent an afternoon fiddling with the carb....so the leaned out pms made it hard to start. So after all the small adjustments I did, it got rid of the black puff of smoke at initial crack of the throttle, but I do still have that grayish/white smoke whenever I let off the gas. I don't know what your reading should be with the HC pistons but the cylinder readings should be about 10% of each other. I really can't think of what else it could be besides bad ring(s). Ooops .... just noted that you don't have the HC pistons but the big bore. I would definately get the compression tested.
