I gotta a question to you lowered guys, I did the Progressive spring and the PCS dog bones (slam kit), I weigh 215 and the girlfriend is 120, with me it's ok but once she is on the thing drags over ant hills., does anyone know how much the springs lower alone vs the spring and dog bone. If I go back stock on the bone is the bike still maybe 1" lower?

The paperwork I got with my Progressive spring said that it lowered the bike 3/8 inch. And that could be made up by adjusting the nut an extra 3/8 inch from the OEM measurement.

The red one that I have isn't as good. The kid used it in his car and the rubber pads came off. The part where the handle goes in broke off and I welded it back and it broke off again. If I had a choice again I would get the yellow one the red one is hard to get under the bike even at stock height and takes two to do it.

that just struck my funny bone, well Curt, it really wasn't made to pick up cars.... I been using the cheapo sears for a while now and have no problem with doing it by my self...I guess they need to send a quality control inspector over to China....

I have the orange bulldog jack and the rear lowered with flip/grind. I ride the back tire on two small 2x4's and another 2x4 under the kickstand and my jack slips right under and no need for a circus balancing act, each time I do it I am a little nervouse till I get both tires off the ground and a couple straps on it, but I really don't want to sit in my garage crying while I am looking at my bike laying on its side.

Mine lives on a jack and its way stinking lowered (too much at the moment).
The way you get it on the jack is you line up the jack, lean the bike way over away from you (don't pussy out at this point), shove jack under then kind of rock it back towards you. Works every time once you get the hang of it. I do not recommend it for the smaller sized Roadie bretheren though.....

Only real scary part is when you let it down and jerk the jack out and forget to put the kickstand down.

I picked up a jack at Auto Zone a few years back for about $70. It has a foot opperated hydrolic pump, a locking lever that will hold at several pre-determind levels, and a U-shaped detachable handle for pushing the unit around. My bike is lowered (bone flip) with a beefed up spring. When I need to jack up the bike I push the unit up to the right side of the bike, pull the bike toward me as I stand on the right side, then with the bike leaning against my left leg and I've got a hand on the seat, I nudge the jack under the frame with my right foot. Keeping a hold on the bike I pump up the jack until the bike is supported level. After that I jack it up to whatever height I need. Bringing back down is simple; I make sure the kickstand is down, press the hydrolic release valve with my right foot and when the bike is back on earth I hold it up with a hand on the seat and one on the bars while nudging the jack out with my right foot. Then I ease the bike onto it's stand. Now I'm only a hundred and ninety-five pounds at six foot so I'm not a human forklift and I seem to be able to pull this off with no real strain.
