Erbman, Curt..Size for oversized manifold o-rings? 1 Year, 10 Months ago
What size are the oversized o-rings for the stock manifold?

I guess the Nemisis has a larger diameter groove. I ordered a set of oversized o-rings using the info that I got in a search here and they came in way too big in diameter. They actually are outside of the groove on the flat. The best that I can measure I think the O.D. should be 2 1/8".

This is what I got using the Balkamp info...
2 1/8" I.D. x 2 5/16" O.D. x 3/32" W

So here's a question that will prove that I haven't had my manifold or carb off (yet ).

Why the oversized ring? Just for a better seal or something? Good timing on this one BigBoy - I'm gonna be diving into all this stuff in the next week or two. Just waiting for a couple of rainy days.

NEVER thought I'd say that!

Yes, pretty simply, trying for a better seal. The original o-rings are pretty skinny but usually work well. Me, I just can't leave anything alone.

Any of yall looking for ERBMAN, don't expect replies until evening.... He is now up here in GA working for me... Trying to get him in shape... Manual labor and Georgia Humidity is putting him to the test... He is getting ready to tear his bike down this weekend to fix an oil leak. He believes it coming from the neutral switch O-ring. supposed to be a four hour job... I am taking bets that it will be 12 plus. major componant removal to get to that area of his motor.
