D & D Kickers ---- alais "jack hammer" exhaust 1 Year, 9 Months ago
Hi fellas-----gotta change my exhaust system or loose what's left of my hearing. My scooter is a 2003 R with a jetted stock carb, kury pro hypercharger, and D & D Kicker dual exhaust. The 'bark' from this exhaust system is tooooooooo loud and my ear drums are just ringing .....gotta dump these pipes and get something my eardrums can handle..Any suggestions and advise on what to change over to (Vance/Hines??????)would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

my cobra speedster shorts are pretty loud too, might wanna stay away from them. I left the baffles in and it gives em a good sound. maybe the longs would be a lil better on the ears(?). the cobra website has some good pics. let us know what you decide on!

I'm kinda like you, Grizzly. I have Bub's Big Willy exhaust and it's just a bit too loud but it has a good tone so I'm not rushing to change.
But I spent some time on Youtube listening to Road Star exhaust and, for me, the best sounding thing on there is the Roadhouse Classics. Nice deep tone and not sharp on the ears.

I have the V&H longshots. In my opinion they are really loud. But it is all subjective, friends tell me that they really like them.

If you want a good low rumble that is not to loud I suggest Roadhouse. I have the Doolies and think the sound is perfect. If their Classics have the same tone you'll like them.
