AIS vac hose???? 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I posted a while back about just unplugging the AIS elect. plug and plugging the two hoses that go to the cylinders on my 2009 Road*. I asked for opinions and you guys gave me some advise.....Thank You. It just so happens that one of the button head bolts I used was needed for another project, so I retrieved it from the vac. line, only to find condensation. So I thought I would do it right and pulled the AIS unit off the bike and installed the block off pates. The problem is the directions say to follow the vac. line to the manifold and cap it. Well, there is no vac line coming off the AIS. I have gone to our past AIS posts but cannot find anything for 09... Only up to 07. Tell me am I done with this job or is there a vac. line to remove and cap.

Thanks for any help!

Thanks footpeg,
I just want to be sure. They sell the block off kit but the directions only list up to 07.

After looking at the on line parts break down I don't see any vacuum line. Go to the exhaust section and look and see if you have removed all the AIS stuff. I checked the intake and Throttle body section and didn't see anything that looks like the vacuum line on the carb models.

Correct.

No vacuum line on 2008> FI Models.

Steve,

Do you have aftermarket pipes? Did you install a BAK?

Keep us up-to-date on how the bike runs after removing the AIS.
