Broken belt 4 Years, 7 Months ago

The other day, I was taking off from a stop and not even doing 20mph in 1st, my 128 tooth gates belt broke. It broke straight across in one of the teeth. It was a clean break. about a week or so ago, I had a slight squeak from the belt but went away thinking that it was just a little bit of dirt causing the squeak. Then 2 days ago, the belt broke. Any ideas anybody? I know that I will call the company that sold me the belt on Monday and raise alittle hell. Kinda pisses me off cuz I have never heard of a belt breaking like that and not to mention that it could have broke while doing 70mph and lock up my rear tire. Has anybody heard of these gates belts doing anything like that?

ultrastar: Is anyone planing on going to Star Days this year? its in Reno NV this year thats only about a 5 hour ride for me the last one I went to was in CO. a 2 day ride riding 80 + and 14 hour days
