Misaligned forks in trees possibly. You'll get more input soon here

I am not entirely sure what the trail calculations are for the RS with the 6 degree tree, but I would check to see that you are not into negative numbers. Other things to check are tire pressure/balance as well as to ensure that your triple trees are properly torqued and bearings greased.

It makes me wonder why people feel the need to claim that one brand is better than others. Yamaha, Honda, Harley, makes no difference. Build it, Ride it, Live it....Ubique

Let's assume that everyting is properly installed and tight.

With 6 degrees in the trees and a stock R* your trail is around 3. The front end is almost 2" lower (at the front floorboard bolt) than stock and it will 'wooble' at highway speed.

There are various ways to get around this 'wooble', you can ... lower the rear to level the bike out, raise the front end, rake the neck about 7 degrees.

Lowering the rear (as you have done with the Baron's lowering kit) will bring the bike to an approximate level stance but the tral will still be too low and you will still get some unsteadyness as you increase speed ... as you've noticed.

Raising the front by using slugs or longer forks is better. 2+ will get you stock height (same as the level stance you get by lowering the rear) and with 4+ the front will be about 2" higher at the front bolt and will get you back to almost the stock trail. That's what I have ... it does not wooble at highway speed but it's also not as heavy as the unraked stock setup.

Raking the neck 7 degrees will bring you back to stock trail and is the best way to manage raked trees but is also the most expensive and radical.

One thing that may help is to increase the torque on the stem nut. The raked trees hang the front forks at more of an angle and I think the recommended OEM torque is a bit on the 'loose' side for this setup. Try tightening the nut down until the front forks fall to either side but don't hit hard.

Hey Doc, spoke with the dealership, they said I would have to put better springs in the front and "hopefully" that will fix the problem, they already tried adjusting the stem nut last visit, and that did not work. Going to put back to stock, just not any more fun riding the bike with this rake. Thanks for your advice. Look forward to being on this forum! Anybody need a baron 6 degree rake and rear lowering kit, LOL!

BS ... I have stock springs with 7.5 W oil.

i would suggest that the dealership does not know what they are doing.

I too have stock springs and I don't have the problem he is having. The dealer doesn't know what they are doing.

I agree with Doc. I have stock springs 6* rake and I don't have that problem. Dealer is full of crap and he needs to find someone else to help or sell the trees to takehikes for a good price.
