#319481 SurveyWaters (User) Lucky-Star Expert Boarder Posts: 456 Wrist Pin Removal 1 Year, 6 Months ago   I am replacing a piston but I don't want to split the crankcase. I can't get the #$%##%^^ wrist pin out. In the past I have simply used a pair of sockets and a good C-clamp but this bugger is in there good. I keep reading about warming up the piston which is a great tip, but the pin is catching on the rod end bearing not the piston..... I pulled the circlips from the get go and it was free in the piston, but stuck in the rod end. I had to apply heat underneath on the top of the con rod, got it though.
