What is the difference in the rear fender on a 1600 and and the 1700 models besides the tail light? Are they interchangeable without mounting alterations? Moderator Posts: 12504 Re:Roadstar Rear Fende 1 Year, 6 Months ago   Denny I may have a harness for a 03 or older with the plugs on it. What I would do if I were you is cut both 1700 and 1600 wires about 6 inches from the plug under the seat. The put male and female connectors on the cut ends on both. That way you can switch back and forth to the type of plug you need if you decide to go back to the original one.
