These are the two pieces you will need plus some hose, clamps, and elbows coming out of the adapter plate to hook it all up.

Highway 1700

1.
I used a piece of 3"x1.5" flat bar painted it black. The top hole is used by the highway bars and the bottom just far enough down to clear the base of the bars. I will try to get a close up so you can see.

2.
The filter I used came from my Honda VF 700 when I was looking at the adapter I noticed the base was wide and I had the filter laying around. The filter is bettween 3" and 3.25" around which looks better. Doing the xref check I found that these should work also:

Purolator PL14459
Mobil-1 M1-104
AMSOil SMF 102
Baldwin B227
Fram PH6010A
Hastings LF402
NAPA 1334
Purolator L14459
WIX 51334

Sorry that is the Circumference actually the height is very close to the Pure One
14610. That and the cooler I thought it would have more oil out of the engine and
cool better.

Re:Oil Coolers 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Hey Steve I dont have a highway bar but I see how you did it, I got an Idea for making a top mount, as soon as my oil sandwich adapter comes I will install it all, and thank you for the filter list, I got the Purolater Pl-14459.... This Idea you get all the credit, a low cost killer chrome oil cooler system, just under $120.00 way cheaper then the $300.00 plus one and loooooks way better and as you said more chrome and better cooling we win......

Two thumbs up bro...
