I just put on the 2-1 classic with the "serrated" covers and the shark-fin tip this spring & I couldn't be happier. Awesome sound, but not too loud until you give the throttle a good twist ! Looks great, installs easily, seems quite well thought out. Also, I like the fact that I didn't just bolt on the same old boring set of drag pipes that everyone and their uncle seems to be runing these days. With my roadie being an '05 Midnight Cdn Silverado Edition, the pipes just look right with the studded seat, light bar, hard bags, etc, etc. And in combination with the jet kit & air filter I can feel a definite increase in power through the
rev range. I was running the same setup before but with stage III stock pipes (which are, of course, for sale by the way).
If I had one recommendation, it would be this: If you get the serrated covers, wrap the headpipes with some of that heat shield wrap before installing the covers. They fit loosly over the headpipes and they can rattle a bit over bad bumps like railroad tracks, etc. I'm thinking the heatwrap would eliminate this irritance, as well as protecting the covers from excessive heat. I've heard that the hotter you can keep the exhaust gasses until they exit the pipes, the better for power. Don't know if thats true or not . . . .but there you go, thats my $0.02 anyway.
