Hey tony

Are you looking for Highway bars or Engine guards? Highway bars are just the straight bar that goes across the down tubes with foot pegs on the ends. Engine guards (Crash bars)are the hoop shaped tubes that you see on a lot of bikes.

nice bike I really like the color
I got the Cobra Fatty Freeway Bars on mine and they look really good! Only downside is finding clamp on pegs that fit the 1 1/2 bar. but I love the large size it really fits the R* well

Oh. OK. Got ya. Yeah, there isn't any best. The good ones all do the job. A lot depends on what you like the looks of and what you are planning on doing with the bike. Only a couple work with floorboard extensions. Some don't play well with the lowers you might plan on using. I have the Yamaha big bar and I like it a lot. Easy to mount, no drilling, sturdy, will work with the Bucks lowers I plan on getting. Works with my floorboard extensions.

I just put the Cobra Fatty Freeway Bars on my 07 Silverado and it looks great. You can buy 1 1/2" clamps for your highway pegs from Kuryakyn.

I like the looks of your Yamaha Big Bars. Would these be the ones in the Yamaha catalog numbered STR-4WM31-10-00?

Regarding the Cobra Fatty, gotta love the 1-1/2 thickness, but to me, they seem overly wide and stick-outish... big, huge hoops, like giant earrings distracting from the face. All of this, of course, is a matter of subjective taste.

Cobra fattys look pretty much the same as the Yamaha Big bars but the 1 1/2" tubbing really looks good on the Roadie! Each to its own. I brought mine to the dealer and I held the Cobra and Yamaha bars up to my bike and there was no question for me which ones looked bada$$
