Light Bar Bulbs 4 Years, 10 Months ago

I took out the stock 35w Halogen bulbs and replaced them with 55w. This was about 2000miles ago. This weekend I noticed my light bar wasn't illuminated so I fliped the switch...nothing.

Took the light off to get at the switch, and the wires were burned off the switch, and the two clear connectors were black. Soldered the switch back together, replaced the 55w back to factory 35w.

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Or perhaps can learn from my mistakes.

Gunner I know the cheap switch on the Yami bar is to weak to carry the voltage of the higher wattage bulbs for very long. Some just rewire with heavier gauge wire and go to radio shack for a better switch.
