If you get "universal" isogrips then you reuse the plastic throttle sleeve and you have to get the old grip off of it without destroying it. Kury has isogrips mede specifically for some bikes which include the throttle with the grip already installed. The universal grips are $69.99 list and the bike specific grips are also $69.99 list; so why worry about the universals. I can get you isogrips specifically for the RoadStar for $50.50 + shipping.

The throttle grip , you have to take the button of the end and use an allen wrench and unscrew the chrome end and then take the housing apart to unhook the cables, and you may have to loosen the cables at the carb.

Clutch side, do the same with the cap and the chrome end and you can either cut the grip with a razor blade or stick a small screw driver between the grip and handlebars to get it loose.

YES DO THAT .

There have been problems with purchases from Clifford and a number of members are hacked off at him. He has no been on for some time now and I would suggest you look for another place to buy from. I deal with Republic Cycle for ALL my Kury stuff here is their link they have the lowest prices I have found. Tell them Curt sent you.
