firstly, how tall are you?

i ask because the twin velocity kuryakyn sticks out a fair bit, and shorter legged riders find it intrusive. apart from that, it works well.

is the person making your exhausts an exhaust manufacturer or someone with a pipe bender? the thing is, making an exhaust that performs well throughout the rev range isn´t as simple as it seems. as well as the positive pulses of the gasses leaving the heads, you have NEGATIVE pulses travelling in the other direction. properly balanced, these pulses help performance, but get it wrong and you end up with a system that can work worse than standard.

if they´re being built by someone who knows their stuff, just ignore what i just wrote

HI
I am having the pipes made by a guy in Gosford Australia calle Dennis Foran
who has been in the business for over 20 yrs, he will dyno the bike first & after
the job to justify the power increase, the pipes that i like are similar to the ones on the Thunder bike de, site in stainless steel & polished he will make them to fit my bike exactly, & he charges $1400 for this job which is i believe good value,
cheers

looks like you´ve got a pro on the job.

a one-off stainless system built for the bike AND dyno time to get it spot on, for 1400 bucks seems like a bargain to me.

thought i´d better stick something up after your first post, as i´ve seen some folks chuck money away on exhausts built by people that aint got a clue. out of the home made systems i´ve seen, approx 80% worked worse than standard, and the 20% that worked properly were down to luck!

guess you won´t have that problem

post some pics when they´re done

I have the kurykan v shaped air intake, at 5'9", it hits me right in the bend of my knee and really forces my right leg out, but, you get used to it and feels normal after awhile.
