Jardine Rumblers 4 Years, 9 Months ago
Hi. Wondering if anyone is running the rumblers from Jardine for an exhaust? If so i have a couple of questions.
1) are they much louder that the stage 1 drillout of the stockers which i have done
2) will they fit on with saddlebags in place
3) what carb set up do you have.

Thanks for the replies

Helmut,

I don't have a set on my bike, however I did see them in action at Star Days in Chattanooga. I wasn't impressed with them. Rujnnning in quiet mode, they are as quiet as a stock pipe, however..... when you "open `em up", they are VERY loud! And they "pop"& crack" like the carb jetting isn't right.

Personally, I'd rather invest in a set of Roadhouse Dually's or the Yamaha Speedstar 2 into 1 into 2 pipes.

Best to ya....

I can confirm they are louder than the stock pipes, couldn't tell you about stage 1. I had the Rumblers with a set of Saddlemen bags (medium size). Larger bags might be an issue. Carb set up 167.5/c-clip on 4th groove w/1 washer/PMS out 2.5 turns/accelerator screw all the way in not on backside. Air system is Big Sucker by Arlen Ness. Initially had the stutters and pops, but fined tuned it with Odo's help. I'm currently running the Shortshots by Vance & Hines using the same carb settings. The Rumblers are also louder than the Shortshots.
