Boy does this sound framilar. Almost same thing happend to me. You may not notice it but the light lens may be rotating as you ride. Wire inside light housing just twists till it breaks inside the insulation. Had this happen to both sides, took some foam insulation with sticky back and put it inside the lens collar foam won't melt and it is a little difficult to get back on but the lens won't twist and then there is light.......................
