#380774 Cruzr51 (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 91 sudden shutdown 1 Year ago   Iride to work every day. 2 miles .and about 30 miles on weekends. twice in the last 2 weeks after about 1 mile it sputtered and quit running. Listen for a pressure release. If you hear it you need to check your vent tube for blockage. You may need to vent your gas cap. What mods have you made? Pumpless? The ethenol in the gas attracts water and the water may building up in your tank and just at the normal petcock level and only getting in sometimes. Undo your gas line from tank and drain it in a glass or bowl. It is a good Idea to run your bike on reserve once in awhile to clean out the lower part of your tank.
