My bike is in today for oil change and valve adjustment, I gave them my Mobile 1 V-Twin oil to put in, so I guess we will see tomorrow if it's noisy or not. I hope not!

After owning a few Harleys and a few air-cooled jap bikes I guess the noises don't bother me much any more.

What really bugs me is how the noises can come and go like they do. Creepy.

But I'll take the R* over any H-D I've previously owned or ridden. It's physically larger and the low-end grunt is something you have to experience to believe.

My buddy's 05 Silverado has run nothing but Mobil 1 20/50 and it ticks and sounds like a air cooled V twin should. And by the way it has 130000 miles on her!

Don't worry enjoy your Roadie

I've used a few brands of expensive MC oil and don't notice much of a difference in quieting. My scoot is noisy, especially when heat is in 90s.

I installed hi-velocity ported heads about a year + ago and need to adjust the valves again, but ride too much to stop and do it.

I ride like I'm trying to blow the engine up sometimes and it hasn't! I wring her out a lot and it's scary fast. I just mostly ignore the ticking/clacking and enjoy the ride.

The only time it bothers me is when I pull up next to a cager at a light and wish they just heard the exhaust and not the valves.
