Hey chefden,
I have one of them new HEMI's in my work truck. Awesome engine, pulls like a mule right up to 6,000 rpm.
It was a beautiful quiet running engine, until I had to leave on an emergency call one morning and I didn't have time let her warm right up before driving. Ever since that cold run, she's made slight rattling and tapping noises at idle. I am sure that it is the pistons that make these noises, NOT the valve train.
I feel bad about running that HEMI when still cold ....But that's one reason we LEASED a gasoline-engine truck.(It will sometimes not get to warm up in emergency call outs.) And I only have it for 24 months.
(I'll save my personal Diesel truck for proper care in warming up, and TLC usage!)

What I meant was ... I don't know why one would use adjustable lifters from the mechanical standpoint. It certainly does make adjusting the valves easier but I did not find the process difficult.

If you want adjustable pushrods, you can get the from DK Powdercoating (417-742-4533), Part AH34B-H 11.563" overall length.
