WOW!!!!!! 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Hi guys!

If I runs front single disc, can I use any R1 caliper or just one from a post-04 Roadie? Will my '00 solid rotor work/fit with the non-floating caliper? Last, what happen to braking power? Any info is welcome, because RC Comp's offering is too pricey for me...

P.S.;Just saw the changes on RSC site; COOOOOL! Congrats for the redo....

You can run an R1, R6 and YZF calipers up to 2003 (I don't know about the new ones).

A solid rotor will work but it may bind as both the caliper and rotor will be fixed. You can only use a 6 bolt R1/R6 rotor; the newer ones are 5 bolt.

Braking power for single setup from worst to best ....

- Stock caliper and rotor
- Stock caliper and rotor with SS lines
- R1/R6 caliper and stock rotor with SS lines
- R1/R6 caliper and floating rotor with SS lines
- R1/R6 caliper and floating rotor with SS lines and Warrior MC

You end up with slightly better braking power than stock two system setup.

Tnx 1000X Doc for the info!! However, is the Warrior M/C really cost-effective? Look the same as a regular R.Star save for the diff. piston assy. which can be baught separately....

Yes, they are bolted directly to the fork.
